The iPad can be considered as successful product in the market. The sales data shows clearly that iPad has been accepted by the masses. There are many people who are still waiting to get the iPad from the stores. There are some lead times still which are being tracked by the people. It was believed that iPad can hurt the sale of PCs. The sale of iPad did not affect the ongoing purchasing cycles of PCs. It leads us to think that iPad is still far-away to be considered as workstation for most of the people who have to work on different tasks in many teams in tech companies. The iPad looks good but its commercial application is yet to be proven. It may be your next best gadget after iPhone but many analysts believe that the iPad would see down-trend of the sale in coming months when the hype goes down and people discover that it is not a desktop. There were expectations attached with iPad that it can replace the laptops. If it was so, such popularity of iPad would have hurt Apple itself. People buying the Mac-Book range of laptops must have given second thoughts about them and would have opted for iPad. But that did not happen. The iPad sale does not seem to dent the sale of other products of Apple. Was it careful move of Apple to not to affect its own products? It seems so now. Apple played very smart game with iPad with not offering to replace the laptops with its limited features.
