Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 LCD TV Review

Posted in tv

With its main focus on movies and gaming, Sony entered the high end LCD TV market with the Bravia KDL. This 40” monster is a hell of a TV and promises everything in this world that a video buff can hope for. This product is a highly tweaked version of all the Sony models to have been launched in the past and the company has made sure that all the shortcomings of its previous models are overcome in the KDL.

The Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 LCD TV looks neat and crisp, but the designing somehow is not at par with the standards that Sony has set in the past. The corners are sharp- something that has become pristine now. The buttons are at the sides of the main panel and are invisible for most part of the wide viewing angle that the TV entails. The TV weighs just about 20.5 KGs and is considerably light for a 40” screen.

With a resolution sporting 1920×1080 pixels, the Bravia KDL is definitely a great option for movie buffs and gaming enthusiasts. This TV boasts of one of the best high definition processors in the world and this fact is evident from the picture viewing experience. There are absolutely no reflections on the screen while playing video and therefore, the display is the best it can get.

The image blur engine, which forms an integral part of the 100 MHZ processing engine, is known for producing stunning pictures. Couple this with the fact that the KDL is equipped with the Bravia engine 3, you get a great LCD TV capable of producing sharp and clear picture. Even the fast paced action scenes can be viewed without any motion blur at all.

Applications like the AppliCast add onto the advantages of buying this remarkable TV set. The Bravia KDL is designed and engineered in such a way that it pleases and gives the users an immense sense of satisfaction. Exceptional sound, great networking features and presence of all sorts of ports and inlets that one can ask for also make the Sony Bravia KDL-40W5500 LCD a hot favourite amongst buyers from all over the world.

The Advantages of a Panasonic LCD TV

Posted in tv

There are many advantages to buying a Panasonic LCD TV. You’ll be buying a well-known brand that has received great reviews from both experts and the general public for superior picture quality. The picture doesn’t wash out if lights are on, the Panasonics are the best lcd tv to watch in a bright room.

If you’re used to watching a bulky old CRT television, you will be amazed at the brightness of a Panasonic LCD TV. The colours are crisp, and the blacks are vivid black, not grey. All LCD televisions are known for having better blacks, but the Panasonic TVs have the blackest blacks.

LCD televisions are flat panel televisions that either sit on a stand which you can place on almost any piece of furniture, or they can be wall mounted. When you buy a Panasonic LCD TV, it has a wide viewing area, so it really can be placed almost anywhere in a room that’s convenient and everyone will have a good seat to watch tv. Recent advancements have widened the viewing area of LCD televisions so they are now comparable to plasma televisions. However, you won’t mind placing the Panasonic where visitors can see it, most of the line is sleek and modern looking, and this is one television you will be proud to show off.

The Best Plasma TV From A Old Name In The Business

Posted in plasma tv, tv

I hate to sound like a typical guy, but I wanted my Panasonic plasma TV to watch sports. I’ve been to friends houses who have Plasma screen HD TV’s and they all look good at first glance. After a games worth of viewing though you start to see the differences. Since the money was also part of the equation I’ve been also waiting to make the final make/model/price comparison before heading to the stores. After almost the entire football season was over I finally got invited to a friend of a friend’s flat to watch a game one evening and finally got top see something different in a wide screen.

Everybody kept talking about the great color and crisp definition of the picture, plus we all remarked about the streaking picture during passes and running that we had gotten used to on fast action shoots. On this plasma screen they were gone! This was no doubt the best plasma tv I had ever viewed.

I wanted to see who made this model but was afraid to ask the price. To my surprise it was a Panasonic plasma TV. I’ve owned Panasonic products since my first portable radio but never even thought about that brand for TV. With all the new Hi-Tech names and companies selling video products today I was sure the best set would be a new name and not the familiar Panasonic brand.
